Joseph Gallagher awarded Microtunnelling contract for key Bahrain infrastructure project
Joseph Gallagher has been awarded the microtunnelling sub-contract for the Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Trunk Sewer (SIBS) project in Bahrain by our trusted partners, Haji Hassan Group BSC(c). The award marks another significant step in supporting the country’s growing infrastructure network.
The project involves the installation of nearly 10 kilometres of new sewer tunnel, with diameters ranging from DN1200 to DN1800. Delivered over a 15-month programme, the works will enhance wastewater capacity and resilience in the region, forming part of Bahrain’s broader infrastructure investment strategy.
Building on a proven partnership, this latest award follows the successful delivery of the Zinj Trunk Sewer project in 2023, where Joseph Gallagher installed critical sewer infrastructure safely, on time, and to a high technical standard. The strong working relationship developed through Zinj laid the foundation for further collaboration with Haji Hassan Group.
